VOICE OF DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

A national audio essay program designed to give 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students the opportunity to voice their opinions on their responsibility to our country. Now in its 56th year. To enter one writes, then records, a three to five minute essay on this years theme "Does America Still Have Heroes" The State winner gets an all expense trip to Washington. Our post sponsors Livingston, Leggett, Big Sandy, Onalaska and Goodrich High Schools. Entry deadline November 1, 2009/10

PATRIOT'S PEN COMPETITION

Livingston Memorial Post 8568 sponsors a scholarship program for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The program gives the students an opportunity to express their opinion on a patriotic theme as well as improve their writing skills. This year's subject is "When is the Right Time to Honor our Millitary Heroes" Entry deadline is November 1, 2009/10
